Outdoor Wednesday…

Edisen fishery

This is Edisen Fishery on the island of Isle Royale. The island is located in Lake Superior and part of Michigan. This fishery is operated through the National Parks Service. They do demonstrations and teach visitors about the fishing history of Isle Royale.

Looks like some place my ancestors would have gone to for fishing expeditions. They were across the border in Canada at the time.

What a wonderful building! I love to go to living history museums (we have several in St. Augustine) so I would be fascinated seeing this as I enjoy fishing. Thanks for sharing with us.
