I said last year that I wouldn’t ever have another garage sale…but I didn’t keep my promise. Hosted a sale with 5 others on Saturday. The weather was picture perfect and we had a fabulous turnout. I did pay for an ad in the local paper, and used craigslist and kijiji.com. Everyone except me did very well. My big items didn’t sell so I need to get them on craigslist. I was in Ft. Lauderdale on business last week, so I was short on time and wasn’t as prepared and organized as I wanted to be…so the merchandising was lacking. I am going on record and saying it here publicly with my right hand raised…this was my last garage sale. Whenever the time comes and I leave this house I will have a moving sale…so that won’t count.
Kathy (my kindred junking spirit) over at Sylvia’s Vintage Daughter thinks my blog is fabulous and sent along an award. Thanks Kathy. I am forwarding this award on to five fellow bloggers that I enjoy visiting.

I don't have the patience and energy to hold garage sales any longer...I fill my car up and donate things.
I said the same thing last year, no more garage sales and what did I do last week.....a garage sale, however I did very well and got rid of a lot but I am done too! If I would quit buying stuff, I wouldn't have garage sales!! LOL!
Hugs,
LeAnn:)
Renee - I see some great stuff in your pictures - garage sales ARE definitely a lot of work -- I'm having my first one in quite a few years...trying to raise spending money for a trip to Minnesota in August (Oronoco Gold Rush Days with my Junkmarket friends!!) - so, I'm deep into the labor of it - praying for good weather this weekend.

This reminds me that I haven't been going to garage sales this summer as I usually do~just so busy. I really used to love them.
Congrats on your award, Renee!!

It is A LOT of work to prepare for a sale, isn't it? I need to get rid of a bunch of stuff, but we live in the middle of nowhere. So having a sale would mean lugging everything to a friends' house in town. That is not so appealing to me.
I'm sorry you didn't do well. It looks like there were lots of treasures that someone missed out on.
Congrats on the award! It's much deserved.
XOXO

Hey, looks like some great stuff on that sale! What were those people thinking...they don't know what good stuff they passed up!
Thank you so much! How sweet of you :)
