Oh, that’s interesting…

hood 007

Have you ever bought something and when you showed it to a friend…his/her response was “Oh, that is interesting.”? Well, we all know what that translates to…What were you thinking? Fortunately, I don’t really worry whether or not someone else likes what I buy. I bought the ‘tree’ lamp because I thought it would look good with my flowered bedspread. Spray painted it white and love it.

Besides the design I liked the fact that it was tall. It drives me crazy when I stay at someone’s house and the lamp in the guest bedroom is so low I can’t read. I usually put books under the lamp to get the light at a level where I can read. I think all guest bedrooms should have a good reading lamp, books/magazines, a mirror, toothbrush/paste/soap, extra pillows (because we all vary as to the type of pillow we like…flat/puffy), water glass, pens/paper, alarm clock, radio, TV (if affordable), extra hangers, extra blankets, extra towels, generic robe and slippers, and maybe a night light and some snacks. Additionally, I think you should spend a night in your guest bedroom to get a feel for the guest experience.

I like the lamp. And it is a grate idea to use books to raise up a low lamp. We don't have a guest room because I made one into a grandkids playroom, one into a quilting/sewing room and one into a scrapping room. But guests are welcome to use our bedroom and we will relocate to the travel trailer which has a nicer bedroom than mine at this time...but coming soon a totally redone master bedroom!!!

Happy Monday ♥♥♥♥

i like the lamp. great style. i also like how tall it is. if the lamp is too low i get a headache from straining my eyes.
i wish i had a guest bedroom. 4 kids and 4 bedrooms. i guess i would need a guest room if i had guests....hahaha.
