You are probably as tired of seeing my front porch as I am. The red, white, and blue quilt has been on the couch for the past few years and when I was cleaning recently I took it off and decided I wanted the white cushions to be exposed. A hiccup with that idea…the front porch is exposed to all the weather elements and those cushions would be dirty in no time. The cushions are slip covered in white jean material and white was chosen so it could be bleached…even so I was reluctant to leave the white cushions uncovered. Found a brand new white shower curtain at a garage sale for $4 and decided that it could be used to cover the cushions. I like the crisp look of the white shower curtain cover. When company comes over I can pull off the shower curtain and we can sit on clean cushions.
AFTER: Cushions covered by shower curtain.
BEFORE: Cushions covered with quilt.

Great idea! Question: Did you sew this or just tuck it?
I always love seeing your front porch. Please don't stop posting pix of it. I wish my front porch could look like yours.
Great shower curtain idea and for $4. Wow!!
What a darling porch! I never tire of seeing it. :o)
I do not get sick of seeing your porch! I think the slipcover looks great. I also loved the quilt. I had some nice pillows and cushions that I hand-sewed on my back porch, and the squirrels ripped them apart to use for their nests. I watched one try to carry a pillow up the tree! You've inspired me to try again!
I really like what you've done with your porch! The shower curtain is a great idea...what's more washable than a shower curtain?.......Ha! Certainly not a lame metamorphosis when you're giving out good ideas like that! Happy Monday!
Smiles :0)!
How clever! Love this idea, it's just like something I'd do!
Your porch looks great as always!! I added your graphic to my sidebar. Who could pass up such a fabulous giveaway?!
Have a great day!
Jen
Love your idea for a cover. Your front porch is wonderful.

I've always loved your posts and pics about your front porch and what a thrifty idea about using the shower curtain. I want to thank you for introducing me to Sara Tetley's site! I've bookmarked it and signed on as Follower to yours.
I love your front porch! I loved the quilt too. I can see the practicality of the shower curtain! Traci
Not lame at all. Lame is a mini Met that I did a few weeks ago. Please stop by and see it. Your porch is so very pretty....mine is just sad, although I AM working on it!
Her 2 boats print is my favorite. My husband would love this.
