Folding tables…

examiner stuff 017

If you follow my blog you know I have a weakness for anything that folds or is on wheels. Spotted two folding tables at a local antique shop this summer and somehow managed to walk out of the shop without them.

Changing subjects…I am losing steam on my goal to do a post every day for 365 days. Even though I have already done 265 posts since I started in November, today it feels overwhelming to think that I have 100 posts to go. Wondering how I will make it. And continuing to question why I set this goal.

Check out my Thrifty Shopping articles on examiner.com.

Thanks for stopping by Cottage Lifestyle and examiner.com.

You're capable! BUT - we wouldn't hold it against you if you cut back on the frequency. It's no good if its not fun for you.

I suggest only focusing on ONE day at a time. I remember feeling totally overwhelmed with projects and papers in college, and when I called my Mum to complain she always reminded me that I could only do one thing at a time, so I needed to prioritize and get busy! Try to recapture the original motivation behind your goal. And don't do it for us, your readers- do it for YOU! When a person complains, it usually means they are not asking for what they want or not saying no to things they don't want. Who will you be if you stop posting?

Wow, those are some unique looking tables! I can see the charm that drew you to them. :o)
Can I share something with you (I know I am a virtual stranger out here - smile)?
I created jewelry and loved it. I still do - to a degree. But I began selling it. It took off like crazy. I was making money left and right. Not to mention the thought that ladies would spend their money on something I created and would wear it, just blessed my heart like mad! Well, then I took it to a business level. It became a task rather than a joy (I have three pieces here on my desk waiting to be put together and not feeling the joy in doing so ... even though two of the three will earn me a little chunk of change). My husband tells me it is because I was "having to do it" rather than just doing it for the pleasure of doing it. :o) Does that make sense?!
I have a cabinet full of items that need to be sold as well as many things I could use to create more. That hangs in the back of my mind because I can't get my money back for those purchases I made.
Anyhow, all that to say ... love what you do and do what you love. :o) You have a fantastic blog and I am so happy for you for writing for you local paper! Just take it one day at a time, if you don't want to post, don't. If you have a couple of posts you want to post ...than go for it.
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
Ps. Do you need any handcrafted jewelry?? (ha ha ha)

Kudos to you to write each day! I am soooo far behind in posting because of my huge "project" list that I must get done by August 14.

Like you, I love anything metal and on wheels. I bought a vintage laundry basket, with the hanging stand attached, last weekend at an estate sale. It is grooooooooovy!

The nice thing about rules we make ourselves is that we can break them. Sometimes I'm riding a wave of things to write about. Other times I'm empty.

as for "steam"... have you tried posting on Wordless Wednesday? All you need is a photo! ;)

The tables are fabulous!

Did you know you can write posts in advance and schedule them to post at the day and time of your choosing? That might help.

Otherwise, simply change your goal! If a goal is not not positively impacting your quality of life, then modify it!! :) Make it realistic for you and nobody else!
