Hi Rene, Loved your scored strainer in yesterday's post. You are a magnet for things that BELONG in your cottage. I'm all about organizing with jars and other things. You left out one application that I employ: recycling food jars (with lids) by upending them and using them for frames. Right now my mantle is filled with nautically themed photos displayed that way. They don't block the view of the large wall photo behind them, and they garner interest from almost everyone who walks through the house. Oh - they also keep construction dust off of the photos!
That is how my counters looked with jars in the old house ... in this house I put everything in the cupboard so counters are clear. We had all kinds of old ones w/shamrocks, advertising, crowns ... didn't realize all the designs util I got to collecting then. What fun it was looking for them. Love your jars! Are they really old?
