Paper Bag Art...

In 1996 I was shopping in Excelsior, Minnesota and purchased an item that was placed in a paper bag with this flower art on the it. I thought the artwork was so cool that I cut it off the paper bag and framed it. I don't understand how it was created, but I love the 3D feel/look.
In the picture below I tried to give you a closeup of the copper stuff that defined the flowers and leaves.
Don't you just love it?
The picture hangs in one of my bathrooms that has a mauve tiled floor.
Thanks for stopping by...

It's very pretty, Renee! Do you think something like fabric paint was used to outline it? I guess we'll never know...

Oh, that was a great idea! I agree with P.J. It looks like fabric paint! It looks great framed. You're the most creative one.

wow..that is quite the paper bag.
really neat.
the paint that gives it the 3D effect is glue. you can find it in any craft store. however, that person really knew how to handle it.
amazing~

I wondered if it could have been the stuff that is used in stained glass as it looks like that. It is really pretty.

What a neat idea to use the artwork on that bag this way. It's unique and I love it when people re-purpose items. Nancy
