Are they from TJ Maxx or Bellagio, Italy???

There are four colorful plates on my kitchen wall...one platter and three plates. One or more were purchased in Bellagio, Italy and hauled home in my suitcase and one ore more were purchased at TJ Maxx. Can you tell which are which?

The following two pictures are of the large platter.

The following two pictures are close ups of two of the three small plates.

I have had the good fortune to travel to some wonderful places around the world and find it kinda frustrating that versions of several of the items I have hauled home can now be purchased in a TJ Maxx or Pier 1. For example, one of the carvings I brought back from Kenya looks like something you could buy at Pier 1 and then there are the plates from Italy and a few of the items I purchased in Japan and Korea.

Okay, time to get off my soap box and share the answer...the three plates are from Bellagio.

Thanks for stopping by...

It should make you feel better that I was able to tell them apart. Your Italian plates have a different aura about them!

I can't tell where they are from. It's nice for me, because we never travel so I can enjoy things without having to go anywhere. Sorry.

I love the colors in those plates.
I just saw the pics of your kitchen and it's just so cute. I love your black and white tile and am considering putting b&w tiles down on my kitchen floor. I think it would really "fit" here.

We are planning a quick trip to the cities this spring. Since blogging, we have found so many places around Minneapolis we feel we need to see and experience! Andrea

That is interesting. I wonder if the carvings at Pier 1 and such would be "knock offs" because there are always so many of them. But in Kenya I imagine the people living there would have created theirs by hand. hmmm..
Can I just say, that is so wonderful that you can travel like you do! What amazing sights you have had to see!!

Hi, I have that exact plate (the big one from TJ Maxx)!!! Well, actually, I had it. We have it on display in our foyer and my psycho dog knocked it over and smashed it into a million pieces and I have been searching the web for another all week. Do you know anything about the company who manufactures the piece? Do you know what the artist's name is on the bottom? Thanks so much!
