Daydreaming...

This is all I want to do today, especially because it is snowing like crazy and I am feeling lazy. I am dreaming of doing something extremely fun for a living, my ideal cottage home, a place to retire and relax, what I could do to help others, nurturing my creativity, a slimmer body, what it will be like to get older, and family and friends, etc. I look at these letters daily, but I rarely take the time to dream.

Today is my day...to daydream.

Its Gone...

I loved this table and spent four hours one day rearranging furniture in my home to make it fit. No luck. Bought it from a local children's shop that was going out of business...they used it for merchandising. Tried several times to sell it in my garage sales and on craigslist. Couldn't believe it didn't sell immediately. It came in two pieces and the top fit to the bottom...no screws required. Oh happy days...it sold today and will be a Christmas present for a 3 year old girl. Her mom found some cute tea cups at a thrift store and plans to set the table for tea.

More Freebies...

I can't bare to see good stuff in the trash on its way to a landfill. Last Saturday I was driving home from the grocery store and scooped up a table on wheels and a chair (not pictured) out of the trash. The table had a wood top with metal legs and the chair was black and plastic...but so cool looking. I was thrilled when my friend Kate saw their potential and agreed to take them.

On Monday heading out of my driveway I noticed a table on wheels and a chair (pictured) in the neighbor's trash. I took the table to use as another firewood holder (see my previous post Handy firewood containers...) and the chair as it will look good with a little white spray paint and may end up in the kitchen. Here is my firewood stash.

Come on already...

Here's my girl Lollie all dressed in her coat and muttluks ready to head out last night in our -10 weather. She loves the snow and the chill doesn't faze her. The muttluks (cute name, huh...check them out at http://www.muttluks.com/) even have a reflector strip so drivers will see her crossing the road. The lake next to our house has completely frozen over so now we have a big playground for chasing sticks and balls.

Wild idea...

So...every once in a while I have a wild idea. See these cool, vintage carriage garage doors? These doors were on a house in my neighborhood that was being remodeled. The new owners were kind enough to give me these doors for my wild idea. I thought I could attach them to the outside of my screen porch to keep out the cold in the winter. My neighbor David helped me haul them home in the midst of a snow storm only to find out my wild idea wasn't going to pan out. Now I need to find someone who will appreciate these vintage doors.
